Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift HOV Highway Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations in the Arlington, Texas area.

This full-time position based in Grand Prairie requires handling debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete work, and related highway maintenance tasks. You will follow federal, state, and local regulations and company policies, operate equipment such as wheel loaders and skid steers, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Roadway maintenance experience.
• Concrete forming/repair experience.
• Experience operating listed heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair.
• Operate wheel loader, skidsteer, forklift and asphalt roller.

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-timeHOVHighway Maintenance Technician for Night Shift to perform maintenance operations in the Arlington, Texasarea. This position, based in Grand Prairie, TX requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Roadway maintenance experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience
• MOT Certifications (traffic control)
• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check
• CDL License a plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule

Full time; Night shift from Monday - Friday from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM must be available to work weekend if needed. Must be able to work during snow and ice removal events.

Salary

Starting at $19+ Higher compensation maybe available depending on candidate experience and certifications.
