Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Austin, Texas area, specifically on IH35.

Responsibilities include debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, and concrete repair, with adherence to all regulations and company policies. Preferred candidates have guardrail and roadway maintenance experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Candidate should have basic arithmetic skills and ability to use a smartphone apps.

Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is curreny seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in Austin, Texas area, specifically on IH35. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in guardrail installation and repair
• Roadway or tollway maintenance experience
• Concrete form work, concrete placement, and repairs
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift,Asphalt Roller, etc operator
• MOT Certifications (traffic control)
• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check
• CDL A License a plus
• 0-2 years of construction labor experience (commercial, industrial, residential, roadway, heavy civil, warehouse, etc.)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule: Full time; 7:30 PM - 4:00 AM, with some day and weekend work if needed. Must be able to work during snow and ice events. Will be placed on on-call schedule.

Salary: $19.00/hr, Higher compensation maybe available depending on candidate experience and certifications.
