Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ year of interpreting experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate level computer skills.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations as required.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check.
• A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive in person interpretation.
• Follows interpreter protocols and procedures required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Follows Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and other standards.
• Establishes quality service and positive interactions with patients and providers.
• Continually improves vocabulary and specialized subject knowledge for various clients.
