Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Network Engineer to serve as the primary on-site resource for Houston facilities, including two data centers, a corporate office, and a Gas Control recovery center. You will work with the NOC in Canada, handling escalations that require local intervention and contributing to SD-WAN evolution across the enterprise.

The role blends hands-on field work with project participation, requiring 4+ years of network experience and a related degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in network engineering or network operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• A combination of education, certifications and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-site resource for Houston network facilities (two data centers, corporate office, Gas Control recovery center).
• Respond to hardware failures, outages, and escalations requiring physical intervention.
• Perform rack-and-stack activities for network equipment installations and replacements.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches across data center, campus, and WAN environments.
• Support and develop Versa SD-WAN platform administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor network health and performance using SolarWinds Orion and respond to alerts.
• Maintain network documentation and asset records in Netbox.
