Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Houston geography. This field-based role focuses on account management and new business development in a B2B distribution environment, selling disposable food service products to restaurants, hotels, and institutions.

The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of sales experience, be proficient with CRM and MS Dynamics, and be able to travel locally with a valid US driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of inside/outside sales experience.
• Experience in food service, packaging or industrial supplies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Increase sales through prospecting and building business with new local and regional distributor accounts.
• Manage and expand existing customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and driving incremental account growth.
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and margin KPIs.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and cultivate new customers for future growth.
• Promote Bunzl internal house brands and preferred brands where appropriate.
• Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts.
• Plan and schedule customer visits with clear objectives for each visit.
• Present monthly recaps of targeted sales priorities to leadership.
• Develop understanding of Bunzl products and demonstrate features using samples or catalogs.
• Establish and grow new accounts and forecast sales accurately.
