Job summary

Prudent Technologies and Consulting, Inc. in Houston seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for client projects. You will perform calculations, create AutoCAD and Revit drawings, and write specifications, while reviewing shop drawings and RFIs.

100% onsite in Houston, TX (77024) with about 10% travel, and knowledge of NFPA 70/72 is essential. You must have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, FE exam completion, Texas EIT, and 4+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• FE exam completed and TX EIT certification.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and MEP design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for client projects and perform engineering calculations.
• Create electrical AutoCAD and Revit drawings and write specifications.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals and addendums for electrical items.
• Conduct field work and prepare field reports; verify design on site.
• Apply NFPA 70/72 codes and knowledge of lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
• Participate in client meetings and pursue ongoing career development.
