Job summary

Kiewit Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking an Operations Finance Intern to support project accounting and financial analysis. This role provides exposure to forecast modeling, cash flow analysis, ROI initiatives, and analytics across labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in month-end close, cost reporting, and budgeting within a large construction and engineering environment, with opportunities to learn and contribute.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership qualities with ability to drive projects from conception to completion.
• Experience with Excel including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.
• Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close out processes and preparation of financial reporting package for project management.
• Gather and analyze financial data, formulate and test hypotheses, and communicate recommendations to management.
• Oversee processes by service partners including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and human capital management.
• Build relationships with Operations and learn about the Construction industry.
