Aoka LLC is seeking a City Planner for a part-time, on-site role in Houston, TX. You will apply urban planning expertise to zoning, subdivision review, and community development while supporting local government clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional urban planning or zoning experience.
• AICP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning tasks including rezoning, annexation, and land-use permits.
• Review applications for compliance with city master plan and development standards.
• Coordinate review processes with applicants, staff, consultants and the public.
• Prepare staff reports with findings and recommendations for hearings.
• Respond to public inquiries on zoning and development matters.
• Maintain accurate records of Planning Division applications.
