Job summary

AIR Control Concepts is seeking a Senior Accountant in Houston, TX 77081 with limited travel to OpCo locations. The role leads the day-to-day accounting for assigned OpCos, owns the monthly close, and ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the financial records in a fast-growing environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, solid GAAP knowledge, and ERP system experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience including month-end close.
• Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; TurboPro, QBO, Infor, Oracle or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting for assigned OpCos and partner with OpCo leadership.
• Own general ledger, supporting schedules, and monthly close package.
• Coordinate with local accounting staff to ensure timely close and accurate records.
• Provide guidance on routine accounting questions and escalate complex issues.
• Prepare financial reporting, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain organized workpapers for final review by Regional Accounting Manager.
