Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Cryogenic Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze cryogenic components and piping for space systems supporting NASA programs. You will develop drawings, work with vendors, and assist in testing and commissioning.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and 2+ years of cryogenic design experience, with knowledge of ASME BPVC VIII and B31.3. Onsite duties include 9/80 schedule and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 2+ years of progressive mechanical design experience.
• Experience with cryogenic systems and piping.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, piping and pipe fitting practices.
• Ability to interact with contractors, vendors, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis for cryogenic components and piping systems.
• Develop procurement and fabrication documentation including SOWs and drawings.
• Coordinate with vendors, participate in design reviews, witness testing.
• Support facility operations for cryogenic systems and distribution.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical oversight during assembly and commissioning.
• Prepare safety reviews, hazard analyses, and engineering boards.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and present findings.
• Other duties as assigned.
