Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking an Environmental Services associate to maintain a clean, safe environment across the Medical Center.

You will thoroughly clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas, handle waste, and operate floor machines following infection prevention guidelines. Evening shifts, 40 hours weekly, onsite; HS diploma and 0–1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0–1 year of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and detailed cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas according to schedules and infection prevention guidelines.
• Cleans rooms, common areas, offices, hallways and other areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
• Collects, removes and disposes of general waste and designated waste streams according to procedures.
• Operates cleaning equipment such as floor machines and buffers and maintains equipment in good condition.
• Responds to cleaning needs and department requests in a timely, professional manner.
