Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HUD regulations and other Federal, State, and local laws.
• Knowledge of HQS inspection procedures and HUD HQS rules.
• Knowledge of local building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
• General office practices, business English, and basic mathematics.
• Knowledge of tenant rights in rental and subsidized programs.
• Familiarity with local rental market and fair market value determinants.
• Ability to interpret statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.
• Ability to inspect units to meet HQS requirements.
• Ability to detect defects and assess compliance with standards.
• Diligence under deadlines while maintaining landlord/participant relations.
• Maintain accurate inspection records.

• Follow HQS Master Book and inspection checklists.
