Job summary

CAMBA Legal Services, Inc. seeks a Case-Handling Paralegal for the Housing Unit in Brooklyn. You will assist clients with intake, evaluate family needs, and conduct home visits to support legal services.

You will prepare subpoenas, advocacy letters, and legal documents for hearings, while maintaining detailed case files and coordinating referrals to ensure integrated support. Qualifications include an AA with 2 years of applicable experience or a BA/BS or equivalent; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and two years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in completing CAMBA intake applications and forms.
• Conduct legal intake and assess clients and families’ needs.
• Perform home visits for intake and follow-up services.
• Prepare legal documents for administrative hearings and proceedings.
• Maintain accurate client files and case notes.
• Coordinate with internal/external programs to link services.
