Job summary

McKinley Hall is seeking a Therapist for a full-time, non-exempt role to provide alcohol and drug counseling to chemically dependent clients through individual, group and family therapy. You will report progress, post notes, and complete all required paperwork in accordance with agency policies and HIPAA standards.

The position requires LIC II credential, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and reliable transportation. Flexibility in hours and compliance with ODMHAS/CARF/HIPAA are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field and computer literacy.
• Insurable under agency's auto insurance without an increase in premium.
• Must provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides alcohol and drug counseling services to chemically dependent clients through individual, group and family therapy.
• Assists clients in the development of interpersonal skills required to promote recovery and maintain sobriety.
• Reports progress on appointments and paperwork as specified by supervisor.
• Posts notes within time frame specified by documentation policy.
• Completes all paperwork including Discharge Summary or Discharge Note as specified in Discharge Policy.
