Job summary

Remedies Renewing Lives in Rockford, IL seeks an Addiction Counselor to deliver assessments, intakes, individual and group counseling, and case management for outpatient and intensive outpatient clients, with a focus on medication-assisted recovery (Methadone). This full-time role runs 40 hours/week from 5:00am to 1:30pm, with a rotation for Monday evening groups.

The candidate should have CADC certification, at least one year of relevant experience, and strong therapeutic and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• One year full-time experience providing substance abuse treatment.
• CADC certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive alcohol and/or drug assessments for potential patients.
• Maintain a patient caseload.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions on a regular basis.
• Maintain accurate clinical records of services provided.
• Provide outreach, prevention, and treatment services as needed.
• Engage in discharge and aftercare planning with patients.
