Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Housing Support Technician to assist in the Family Emergency Shelter - Unity House program in Louisville, KY. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role focused on safety, security, and smooth operation of homeless residential services.
You will manage front desk tasks, assist with intakes, support volunteers, monitor clients, document events, and participate in team meetings while upholding VOA policies and guidelines.

The HST is responsible for monitoring the functional operations of the homeless residential programs (FES and TH) and facility. The HST’s primary responsibility is safety and security of programs and clients.
The position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Two years of post-secondary education is preferred. Prior experience in a residential homeless (or equivalent) program is required. Knowledge/Experience working with individuals in crisis/low-income preferred. Must have valid KY ID; Must have the ability to be CPR/First Aid certified, upon 30 days of employment; successfully pass a Criminal Background Check and Sex Offender Registry Check.
