Job summary

NARA Northwest in Portland, OR is seeking a Housing Specialist for HUD Youth PSH at River House. This in-person role supports young adults (18–24) experiencing homelessness with housing stability, health, and recovery goals.

You will develop individualized housing plans, help with housing applications and move-in funding, and coordinate with partners to sustain housing. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• QMHA credential required or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with homelessness or severe mental illness preferred.
• Knowledge of recovery-based approaches and housing resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop client-centered housing stability plans.
• Assist with housing applications and move-in funding needs.
• Coordinate with providers, property managers, and housing partners.
• Deliver home and community based services using Motivational Interviewing and Housing First.
• Document plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
