Job summary

Heading Home Corps is seeking a Housing Resource Navigator to help Minnesotans facing homelessness obtain safe, stable housing. You’ll work with partner organizations, receive training, and assist participants to set housing goals and action plans.

This AmeriCorps role involves regular participant meetings, progress tracking, and community resource connections, with a focus on growth and service delivery. A biweekly stipend is provided.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with participants.
• Guide participants in creating housing-related goals.
• Track participant progress.
• Connect participants with social service resources and programs.
• Commit to your own growth through training and professional development.
• Share your experience with the community.
