Job summary

The Salvation Army Glendale Corps is seeking a Housing Navigator to develop and implement housing plans for program participants, facilitating housing stability for families that are homeless. The role includes coordinating external resources, securing housing opportunities, and guiding clients through housing processes.

You will perform strength-based case management and work with landlords while ensuring compliance with local and federal housing programs and agency policies.

Qualifications

• BA in human services or related field with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license required.
• HMIS experience or knowledge of housing programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strength-based case management and service coordination to help clients obtain and maintain stable housing.
• Develops relationships with landlords and maintains inventory of housing opportunities.
• Coordinates access to Rapid Rehousing, Tenant Based Rental Assistance, and other programs.
• Ensures HIPPA compliance and monitors participant progress.
• Accompanies families to housing appointments and assists with housing documentation.
