Reports To: Director of Assisted Housing or Manager/Supervisor Designee
Department: Assisted Housing
This position provides operational support for the Detroit Housing Commission’s Section 8 programs, assisting with application processing, waiting list management, portability, intake, and recertification duties. It involves communication with property owners and management companies and is performed under supervision.
Work is primarily in an office environment. Must be able to operate office machines, lift up to 10 pounds, and stand or walk as needed.
Valid driver’s license, criminal background clearance, and drug screening are required. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Associates degree and two years’ experience in property management or related field preferred; HCVP experience is a plus. High school diploma with three years of housing management experience may be considered. Certification in HCV and rent calculation required within six months of hire, with a score of 80% or higher.
$34,278.40 - $36,420.80 plus full benefits and retirement plan.
