Merakey is seeking a Housing Specialist in Shreveport, LA to coordinate housing services for individuals served by the F/ACT team. You will assist with procuring safe, affordable housing and develop relationships with landlords while teaching money management skills and supporting daily household activities.

The role requires a valid Louisiana driver's license and appropriate clearances, plus at least 1 year of housing specialist experience.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Sociology.
• Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.
• Valid LA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Housing Specialist.

Earn: $20.70/hour + $7,500/yearly mileage stipend

Our Housing Specialist will coordinate Housing services for all individuals served by the F/ACT team. Assist individuals in the procurement of safe and affordable housing and related necessities while developing a relationship with landlords. Insure the individuals have adequate financial support and teach and promote money management skills and support individuals in the performance of household activities (cleaning, organizing, etc.) Educate and support individual's families and advocate for individual's rights and preferences. Attend housing related meetings in the community and Act as a liaison with stakeholders.
