Job summary

The Entertainment Community Fund in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Social Worker to provide comprehensive case management and supportive services to residents at The Schermerhorn. This full-time role focuses on adults with medical, mental health, or housing needs, delivering direct services, assessments, and referrals.

Collaborating with CUCS and Breaking Ground, you will help residents access benefits, maintain housing stability, and participate in psychoeducational activities while maintaining detailed

Qualifications

• Master's in social work from an accredited School of Social Work and NY State Licensure.
• Minimum of two years post-MSW relevant experience.
• Strong assessment, case management, clinical, and communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable in working off-site for client advocacy.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively, with ethical decision-making.
• Highly organized with detailed, punctual case notes and files.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a person-centered, strengths-based approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to residents with medical, mental health, housing, and employment issues.
• Conduct assessments and assist with accessing benefits and services.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to address housing stability concerns.
