Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Residential Building Systems, Construction, Engineering, or relevant field is required.
• LBP Risk Assessor Certification and NSPIRE Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Two years of experience with housing construction, trades, building codes or relevant residential remodeling, construction project management or relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Residential Building Systems, Construction, Engineering, or relevant field is preferred.
• One year of experience with HUD-funded rehabilitation programs is preferred.
• Experience substitutable for degree; education may substitute experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts recruitment activities to increase contractor participation in HOME Rehabilitation and other home repair programs; delivers presentations and information to diverse audiences; manages marketing materials and onboarding.
• Leads program innovation, design and implementation; engages contractors; analyzes data to evaluate initiatives; manages grants to expand innovation.
• Participates in local and statewide coalitions; coordinates with partners to increase home repair capacity and leverage opportunities.
• Builds relationships with city code enforcement to increase referrals and collaboration across programs.
• Performs data analysis of construction industry trends and Johnson County's affordable housing stock.
• Performs Rehab Specialist duties as assigned.
