Job summary

Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) is seeking a Housing Assistant to provide housing services clerical support and quality customer service. The role requires onsite work in Sacramento, CA, with responsibilities spanning client interviews, income verification, and process documentation to support housing subsidy programs.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in data entry and customer service, with strong computer skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; AA degree preferred.
• Two years of data entry and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive applications and interview participants.
• Explain policies and conduct orientations for prospective participants.
• Answer inquiries and provide information regarding Housing Authority services.
• Maintain waiting lists and prepare forms to verify income and deductions.
• Process paperwork for housing subsidy programs and schedule inspections/orientations.
