Job summary

Presbyterian SeniorCare Network is seeking a Housing Safety and Compliance Inspector in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time, on-site role pays $22.00-$30.00 per hour with flexibility based on workload and inspection schedules.

Responsibilities include ensuring housing safety and compliance, conducting inspections, and coordinating with housing partners across western Pennsylvania. Many benefits are offered for full-time team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Observant, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• Knowledge of HUD NSPIRE standards, affordable housing, HOPWA, building systems, or local housing codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure housing is safe, decent, sanitary, accessible and compliant with housing standards.
• Assist with HUD housing inspections and related standards training.
• Travel throughout western Pennsylvania for inspections and related duties.

TheHousing Safety and Compliance Inspectorplays an important role in helping ensure that our housing is safe, decent, sanitary, accessible, and compliant with applicable housing standards. Requirements For The Housing Safety And Compliance Inspector

• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be observant, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• Knowledge of HUD NSPIRE standards, affordable housing, HOPWA, building systems, property maintenance, Fair Housing, accessibility requirements, or local housing codes is a plus.**
• Ability to professionally interact with residents, housing partners, and other team members.
• Able to identify and clearly document physical housing deficiencies.
• Possess an active, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular travel throughout western Pennsylvania.
• Candidates who do not currently have all of the required experience should have the ability and willingness to gain knowledge and proficiency with the applicable requirements within 1 year of hire.
