Job summary

Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a Housing Risk & Insurance Analyst to support enterprise risk management, analyze insurance data, and strengthen resilience of MDHA's affordable housing portfolio.

The role involves turning incident and claims data into dashboards, supporting HUD compliance, including HAP and subsidy reviews, and coordinating with Finance, Property Management, Security, and external parties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, public administration, finance or related field; equivalent combination may be considered.
Five or more years of experience in HUD housing programs, HAP reconciliation or related field.
Experience with TRACS and HAP voucher processing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities

Coordinate insurance claims from first report through final resolution with carriers, brokers, adjusters, TPAs, contractors and legal counsel.
Analyze loss trends and advance risk mitigation across MDHA's affordable housing portfolio.
Develop dashboards and reports to guide leadership decisions and HUD compliance work.
Support audits, HUD MORs, reconciliation documentation and corrective action evidence.
Monitor HAP/subsidy integrity and conduct third-party site reviews.
