Job summary

The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) is seeking a Project Manager to assist with new construction, rehabilitation and modernization of its housing stock, including single-family homes, townhomes and apartments. You will manage professional services and construction contracts and oversee hazardous substance abatement.

Qualifications

• At least four years' of progressively responsible experience in construction management with an emphasis on the renovation of multifamily and scattered site properties.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or related field is required.
• Knowledge of local and national building codes, and Davis Bacon Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of Scopes of Work.
• Assist with the assessment of physical and managerial needs, plans, specifications, and construction estimates for rehabilitation of properties.
• Develop budgets for construction/rehabilitation work and obtain quotes.
• Coordinate with Procurement and ensure contracting with contractors.
• Provide review and approval of Change Orders and document reviews.
• Monitor contractor performance for compliance and ensure clear communication.
