Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) seeks a senior-level Housing Acquisition Manager to lead development activities and central planning for mixed‑income projects in Montgomery County. The role requires deep knowledge of real estate development, financing, and local/state/federal regulations affecting affordable housing programs.

The position reports to the Vice President of Real Estate.

Qualifications

Five years of experience in real estate development, finance, land planning or related field.
Experience in multifamily housing (rental and for-sale) and decision-making involving professionals is desirable.
Proficient in financial analysis, creating models, and conducting market research.

Responsabilités

Perform detailed market analysis and financial underwriting to assess feasibility of development projects.
Develop project schedule, development budget, and track costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage development of new and renovation projects from inception to construction completion.
Direct programs using MPDUs and negotiate land purchases and agreements.
Coordinate with Legal, Design Engineering, Construction, Economic Development, and Public Policy teams to align strategy.
