Job summary

Delaware State Housing Authority seeks an entry-level Housing Specialist to support the State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) and the 811 Tax Credit Referral System. The role involves communicating with clients, case managers, landlords, processing tenancy approvals, and assisting with recertifications and data entry.

You'll prepare documentation for management reviews, track referrals and vacancies, and help develop process improvements to enhance program efficiency while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Property Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience in administrative tasks, data collection and entry preferred.
Knowledge of HUD housing programs and federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze data related to policies and operations.
Process tenancy approvals and coordinate with landlords and case managers.
Prepare voucher briefings and issue vouchers under SRAP.
Maintain tenant files and program records.
Assist with annual recertifications and reporting to HUD.
