Job summary

The City of Maywood is seeking a Housing Specialist to coordinate and administer a range of housing programs, including rent stabilization and rental housing initiatives. You will work with consultants, property owners, tenants, and community partners to connect residents with housing resources and services.

You will also support outreach efforts, prepare informational materials, and help ensure program compliance, reporting, and budget management for grant-funded activities.

Qualifications

• Equivalency of education and experience in housing or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer housing programs, including rent stabilization and rental housing.
• Represent the City at meetings with community organizations, agencies, and service providers.
• Develop, coordinate, evaluate housing services, events and workshops.
• Assist with budget preparation, administration and monitoring for assigned programs.
• Provide information and resolve problems for applicants, tenants, and the public.
• Coordinate staff, consultants, and quality control audits of tenant files.
