Job summary

The Oregon Community Foundation is seeking a Program Officer - Housing in Portland, OR to lead housing initiatives statewide, in collaboration with senior program officers. This exempt, full-time role focuses on planning, research, strategy, and evaluation of housing investments.

Ideal candidates will have nonprofit grantmaking experience, strong stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to equitable grantmaking across Oregon communities, with excellent communication and program management skills.

Qualifications

  • Six or more years of experience with nonprofit organizations, grantmaking and/or program planning and management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • Extensive knowledge of Oregon and strong interest or knowledge of philanthropy.
  • Strong knowledge of principles and tools to strengthen Oregon’s housing sector.
  • Trusted relationships in diverse communities across the state of Oregon.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and meeting facilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee housing grant programs and manage budgets.
  • Coordinate with program staff and partner funders to design and implement housing initiatives.
  • Engage with communities, donors and partners to advance housing strategies.
  • Develop guidelines, evaluate success, and report progress to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to share outcomes and impact.
