This senior leader will align initiatives with city priorities, supervise a team, manage programs, and collaborate with council, developers, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration or economic development; 7+ years executive experience in business planning and development or managerial work in government or private organizations.
• Thorough knowledge of housing policy, economic development practices, community development, workforce development, municipal government, and public administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Housing and Economic Development Department with strategic direction and vision.
• Direct housing and community development programs, including federally funded initiatives.
• Build relationships with employers, developers, institutions, and residents to advance economic growth and housing opportunities.
• Oversee department budget, grants, and financing programs; ensure compliance and performance.
• Develop partnerships with community and government stakeholders to advance priorities.
