Job summary
Colchester Borough Homes is seeking an Innovative Homechoice Officer with a solid understanding of the Housing Act 1996, Part 6 as it applies to Allocations and the Housing register. You will support applicants to the Gateway to Homechoice Register, process applications, advertise properties and shortlist suitable tenants within set timeframes.
You will also advise customers on housing options, handle welfare requests, develop customer information for the website, and run routine reports while
Qualifications
- Good understanding of the Housing Act 1996, Part 6 as it applies to Allocations and the Housing register.
- Ability to provide comprehensive service for applicants to Gateway to Homechoice Register.
- Experience in developing information for customer web pages and running reports.
Responsibilities
- Process applications and ensure properties are advertised within required timeframes.
- Shortlist applicants for properties and provide housing options guidance to customers.
- Process medical and welfare requests consistently and appropriately.
- Update databases and generate reports to support service delivery.
- Travel between office locations and work remotely as required.
