Met Council is seeking an Operations Administrator to coordinate repairs, ensure local law compliance, manage inspections, and oversee vendor contracts across housing properties. The role requires frequent travel between New York City properties and is office-based.

Candidates should bring 2-3 years of building violations and compliance experience, knowledge of NYC regulations, and proficiency with standard office software. This position offers full-time hours and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing building violations and compliance across a portfolio of properties.
• Knowledge of NYC regulatory agencies and requirements, including HPD, DOB, FDNY, and applicable local laws.
• Experience supporting preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and building-related projects (required).
• Knowledge of building systems, maintenance workflows, and operational best practices (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Build operations & maintenance oversight: troubleshoot operational concerns and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Vendor coordination & project oversight: oversee repairs, coordinate vendors, ensure quality completion.
• Compliance & inspections: manage violations, ensure timely inspections and filings, stay updated on regs.
• Reporting & documentation: prepare status reports, maintain records of inspections and vendor activity.
• Coordination & support: work with on-site staff, vendors, and agencies to resolve issues, provide conflict resolution.
