Job summary

US Career Partners is seeking a Housing Navigator for our Recuperative Facility in the San Diego area. The role focuses on helping individuals experiencing homelessness find and secure stable housing options and coordinating with case managers to develop personalized housing plans.

The candidate should possess knowledge of local housing resources, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of housing resources and policies in the San Diego area.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with housing providers and community partners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with diverse populations and addressing complex needs
• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is helpful but not a must
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of clients to identify housing needs and barriers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local housing providers to identify options.
• Assist clients in completing housing applications and gathering documentation.
• Provide ongoing support and advocacy throughout the housing process.
• Collaborate with case managers to create individualized housing plans.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and housing outcomes.
• Stay informed about housing policies and resources for clients.
• Participate in outreach and networking events to promote housing services.
• Attend team meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
