Job summary

The Housing Coordinator provides case management and support to individuals and families residing in YWCA’s Housing Programs, guiding them toward self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

The role emphasizes housing-first, trauma-informed, strength-based practices; manage referrals, complete intake and exit assessments, and maintain HMIS data timeliness while coordinating with partners and funders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with two years relevant experience or an associate/technical degree with three years relevant experience and one year supervisory experience.
  • Valid PA driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the City of Pittsburgh.
  • Act 33/34 clearances are required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure new client referrals are housed within 30 days of intake.
  • Use housing-first, trauma-informed, and strength-based case management.
  • Develop and monitor housing goal plans with SMART objectives.
  • Complete intake/exit assessments and HMIS data entry within 72 hours.
  • Maintain confidential client files and report to Manager/Director as needed.
  • Prepare monthly billing and contract reports for funders and YWCA.
