The Wheeling Housing Authority in Wheeling, WV seeks an experienced Housing Manager to oversee daily public housing operations, ensuring HUD compliance and quality housing for residents. You will handle tenant relations, lease enforcement, and leasing processes while coordinating maintenance and inspections.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of HUD rules, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with housing software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in property management, public housing, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of HUD regulations, Fair Housing laws, and Section 8/public housing programs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for resident and stakeholder interactions.
• Proficiency in housing management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field a plus.

• Maintain accurate resident files, occupancy records, and housing databases.
