Job summary

U.S.VETS in Washington, DC is seeking a Property & Income Coordinator responsible for coordinating facility, income, and housing support services. You will monitor landlords, ensure housing quality standards, and supervise housing-related operations across project-based and scattered-site units.

The role requires robust facility management experience and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including landlords, residents, and management.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of Facility Management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience or two years at U.S.VETS may substitute for supervisory experience.
  • Understand state and local landlord/tenant codes and their application.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of clients, staff, and community members.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility maintenance and safety standards across units.
  • Coordinate with landlords and management on responsibilities and repairs.
  • Inspect apartments, detectors, and emergency plans; review unit upkeep with residents.
  • Manage move-in/move-out processes and prepare vacated units.
  • Maintain records and prepare housing placement reports.
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager on leases and landlord negotiations.
  • Build relationships with housing providers and identify housing resources.
  • Ensure compliance with HUD HQS and OSHA during inspections.
