Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Development Coordinator to support affordable housing transactions from initial analysis through closing, tracking timelines and coordinating with lenders, investors, architects, and contractors.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with LIHTC or similar funding, and the ability to manage multiple projects with precise schedules and documentation. Proficiency in AI tools and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience supporting LIHTC affordable housing development projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
• Detail- and process-oriented with ability to keep approvals on schedule.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Proficient in AI tools, MS Office, and document management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial analysis of development opportunities, including scoring and environmental factors.
• Track development approval timelines and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver due diligence items on schedule.
• Support financing partners from site control through closing while maintaining schedules.
• Coordinate and prepare financing applications (LIHTC, RAD, HOME, CDBG, AHP, etc.).
• Set up and monitor project budgets and construction progress; coordinate funding draws.
• Maintain accurate reporting in internal systems and ensure documentation of LIHTC commitments and assumptions.
• Support cross-functional team with contract reviews, AP coordination, and engagement with architects, managers, and contractors.
• Use AI tools to support analysis, documentation, and reporting across workstreams with quality checks.
