Job summary

Fairstead seeks a Developer, Development, Affordable Housing to oversee the lifecycle of multiple development projects—from underwriting to stabilization. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with leadership, and drive investment materials with a data-driven approach.

The role requires 7+ years in real estate development, LIHTC and Public Housing experience, advanced Excel modeling, and exceptional written and verbal communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling (Excel) skills required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communications abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of multiple affordable housing development projects from underwriting through stabilization.
• Lead and mentor staff, contributing to team growth.
• Prepare and present investment materials to leadership.
• Compile due diligence information including financial, market, site and regulatory data.
• Coordinate third-party reports, plans and environmental reviews.
• Lead community meetings and government approvals.
• Manage pro formas, budgets, schedules and underwriting assumptions.
• Support debt/equity financing applications and subsidy renewals.
• Analyze project delays, costs, contracts, and construction issues.
• Assist in contract negotiations and review of legal docs.
