Job summary

Pathways Vermont is seeking a Housing Coordinator to join the statewide housing team. The role partners with Permanent Supportive Housing services to secure apartments, negotiate with landlords, and support housing retention for individuals with histories of homelessness and mental health challenges.

The position requires travel across Washington and Addison Counties, in-person work, and full-time hours (35-40 per week).

Qualifications

• Familiarity with housing laws and housing subsidy programs preferred.
• Comfort initiating new relationships and negotiations.
• Ability to travel and work semi-flexible hours.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Collect and maintain information related to housing history.
• Assist in identifying housing with long-term subsidies.
• Locate vacancies and support clients in applying.
• Negotiate with landlords and provide education on contracts.
• Develop networks of landlords to expand housing options.
• Meet with clients and service teams to discuss housing needs.
