Job summary

First Place for Youth is seeking a Housing Coordinator to support San Francisco ILSP participants with housing options and stability. The role collaborates with County Social Workers and housing providers to remove barriers and achieve long‑term housing goals.

The position emphasizes intensive case management, workshops, and education about housing resources. Onsite, Monday–Friday schedule with some evening/ Saturday activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent with housing support experience.
• At least two years in affordable housing, homeless services, property management, child welfare, or work with transition-age youth.
• Commitment to cultural competency and removing barriers.
• Comfortable working in community settings.
• Able to pass a Community Care Licensing background check.
• Attention to detail; organized documentation and data entry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; database familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops on housing topics (e.g., Transitional Housing, THP+, Housing Choice Voucher, Fair Housing).
• Assess, plan, and implement services to help participants reach goals.
• Provide direct participant support and develop customized housing plans.
• Coordinate with referral agencies and track progress; create community resources.
• Prepare clients to maintain housing after program exit; assist with alternative housing options.
• Support social-emotional learning and conflict resolution skills.
