Job summary

North County Lifeline seeks a Housing Navigator to assist transitional age youth exiting foster care or facing homelessness. Under supervision, you will deliver housing-first support, connect clients to housing options, and coordinate with partners to promote self-sufficiency and stability.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, culturally competent care, client-centered planning, and meeting multi-agency requirements. California driver license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• BA preferred with experience working with transitional age youth who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
• Knowledge of homelessness issues and systems navigation in San Diego region recommended.
• Strong skills in rapport-building, assessments, goal setting, and motivating YYA’s.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming environment for youth experiencing housing instability.
• Assist youth with housing options, resources, and referrals.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete required documentation and reporting.
• Provide trauma-informed, youth-driven case management and wraparound support.
• Coordinate with partners and supervise ongoing case conferencing.
