Job summary

Belmont Housing Resources for WNY invites applications for a Housing Construction Specialist to oversee rehabilitation components of housing programs. The role involves coordinating with third-party inspectors and managing rehabilitation activities on projects in the Buffalo area.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of related experience or an associate’s degree with 4 years’ experience, plus knowledge of residential building systems and contractor supervision.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all phases of residential housing building systems (structural, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to supervise contractors.

Housing Construction Specialist: The primary objectives of the position of Housing Construction Specialist are to administer the rehabilitation component of the organization’s housing rehabilitation programs in matters relating to construction, rehabilitation, and interaction with third-party inspectors (e.g., DHCR, HUD). $47-$57K*

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years’ experience, or an associate’s degree plus 4 yrs experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in housing construction, rehabilitation, or related fields. Basic knowledge of all phases of residential housing building systems (structural, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and the ability to supervise contractors.
