Job summary

The City of Yuma is seeking a Neighborhood Services Specialist to oversee housing and neighborhood services programs within the Neighborhood & Economic Development Division. You will administer HUD-funded programs, monitor compliance, and coordinate with outside agencies to deliver services to eligible residents.

Under supervision, you will process applications, prepare reports, and participate in public meetings to address community needs and fair housing concerns.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Business or Public Administration, or related field, and two years experience administering CDBG, HOME, federal grant programs.
• Experience with HUD frameworks and grant-funded initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers HUD-funded housing and neighborhood services programs.
• Oversees grant-funded services by outside agencies and reviews payment requests.
• Monitors compliance with federal regulations and submits required reports.
• Coordinates with community organizations to facilitate applications and address issues.
• Assists participants with questions and completes technical applications.
