Job summary

Woodward Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains seeks a Housing Maintenance & Community Coordinator to support The Inn at Boreal Mountain. You’ll perform light maintenance, prepare rooms, oversee common areas, and assist residents, with weekly community events and biweekly transport for J-1 employees.

This hands-on role requires problem-solving, strong communication, and the ability to work afternoons/evenings in winter conditions; a valid driver’s license is required. POWDR/resort access included.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, construction or related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Comfort using basic tools and performing hands-on duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow through on responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to work afternoon/evening shifts and in winter weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance and minor repairs (hardware, fixtures, furniture, lighting, paint, caulking, basic plumbing).
• Troubleshoot basic appliance issues and escalate larger repairs to Housing Manager.
• Conduct regular building walkthroughs to address maintenance, safety, and cleanliness.
• Prepare rooms for move-ins/move-outs and inspections.
• Operate snow blowers and assist with snow/ice removal around entrances and walkways.
• Assist with generator operation when trained.
• Maintain visible presence and assist residents with housing questions.
• Coordinate at least one resident activity or community event weekly.
• Transporting J-1 employees to Truckee roughly twice weekly; maintain valid license.
