About the Position

The Housing Case Manager provides trauma-informed services to individuals facing multiple barriers, including mental health issues, substance use, and chronic health conditions, to help them secure and maintain stable housing. Responsibilities include assessment, documentation, referrals, goal setting, advocacy, case planning, collaboration with Shoreline public schools, and service coordination. The role involves empowering participants to connect with community resources and improve their quality of life. This is a unionized position, represented by Local 8 of OPEIU.

About the Program

Ronald Commons is a supportive housing development in Shoreline with 60 units, complemented by a Hopelink Integrated Service Center offering food, family services, financial aid, and more. The facility includes communal spaces like a courtyard and play area.

Location

Near Fred Meyer in Shoreline, WA.

Details
  • Reports to: Program Manager
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5:30 pm, with weekly staff meetings on Thursdays at 11:30 am - 1 pm
  • Meal Period: Unpaid, 30 minutes
  • Salary: $29.00/hour (Level 1)
  • Benefits include: Unlimited ORCA transit pass, medical/dental/vision, flexible spending account, PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and employee assistance program.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in social/human services related to housing and homelessness.
  • Experience/education demonstrating competency in housing insecurity, mental health, substance use, or related issues is preferred.
  • Training or awareness in belonging, compassion, and meeting clients where they are is desirable.
  • Experience working with language barriers is a plus.
  • Current WA State Food Handlers Permit preferred; sponsorship available if not current.
  • Driving qualifications may be required, including a valid WA driver’s license and proof of insurance.
