Prudence Crandall Center Inc. seeks a RRH Case Manager to provide rapid rehousing advocacy and trauma-informed case management for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
The role promotes Housing First, resilience, self-sufficiency, and safety planning to stabilize housing and increase income. Ideal candidates include bilingual Spanish/English professionals with at least two years of relevant experience and strong interpersonal skills, capable of independent work and teamwork.
The primary role of the RRH Case Manager is to provide rapid rehousing advocacy and case management services to survivors of domestic violence and/or human trafficking. Case management utilizes a Housing First philosophy, includes trauma-informed, resiliency-focused and survivor-centered approaches to stabilize housing, rebuild self-esteem, develop essential life skills, and establish financial independence. This is achieved by supporting a client's goals to increase income and self-sufficiency. Additionally, the advocate will provide survivors and their children with counseling, risk assessment, safety planning, goal setting, and referrals to other support services.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree preferred. Strong preference given to bilingual (Spanish & English) candidates who meet these qualifications: two years' experience in client advocacy, counseling, supportive housing or similar setting. Prefer strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to accept responsibility and follow through with assignments. Prefer experience or demonstrated interest in domestic violence and residential programs and a willingness to learn how to navigate multiple systems including housing, health, employment, substance use disorder treatment and government benefits. A willingness to fully support the mission of the organization is essential.
