Job summary

Solé Miami is seeking a Houseperson to support the housekeeping team at our Sunny Isles beachfront property. You will help maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and deliver guest amenities to guestrooms to ensure comfort for our guests.

Responsibilities include stocking carts, maintaining cleaning equipment, reporting maintenance needs, and keeping public spaces pristine. The role requires stamina, the ability to stand throughout shifts, and friendly communication with colleagues and guests.

Qualifications

• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Stock housekeeping carts with adequate supplies to complete assigned rooms.
• Maintain equipment such as vacuum and cleaning equipment; empty vacuum bag as necessary.
• Notify supervisor when shortage of supplies is noticed.
• Remove trash and dirty linens from room attendant carts.
• Ensure that hotel public areas meet hotel standards.
• Clean furniture, elevators, glass, planters in public areas such as lobby and restrooms.
• Sweep and vacuum floors, hallways and stairwells.
• Report maintenance problems and complete repair orders.
• Spot clean walls, carpets, light fixtures and carts at end of day.
• Deliver special request items to guest rooms.
• Replenish storerooms and rotate linens.
• Maintain shelf organization in storerooms.
• Ensure safety in work areas and follow hotel procedures for Lost and Found.

A day in the life...

As our Houseperson, you are responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all assigned areas and equipment. You will also be responsible for delivering items to guestrooms, such as extra towels, shampoo/conditioner, etc.

To be successful in the Houeseperson position, you...

• are responsible for stocking room attendant carts with adequate supplies to complete assigned rooms and maintain an efficient cleaning cart.
• maintain equipment such as vacuum and cleaning equipment. Empty vacuum cleaner bag as necessary.
• notify supervisor when shortage of supplies is noticed.
• remove trash and dirty linens from room attendant’s carts.
• insure that hotel public areas are to hotel standards.
• clean furniture, elevators, glass, planters, etc. in public areas such as lobby, pool and public restrooms. Sweep and vacuum floors, hallways and stairwells.
• report maintenance problems and complete work repair orders.
• spot clean walls, carpets, light fixtures and room attendant carts at the end of the day.
• turn in articles left in rooms to management for "Lost and Found" following hotel procedures.
• are responsible for replenishing supply storerooms in the hotel; Rotate linens in storerooms.
• maintain shelf organization in the storerooms.
• take corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas.
• deliver special request items such as cribs to guest rooms.
• keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
