Job summary

Thompson Dallas, a luxury lifestyle hotel in Downtown Dallas, seeks a Houseperson to support the Housekeeping team and maintain the cleanliness of guestrooms and public areas.

You will deliver supplies, restock carts, assist with special projects, and ensure rooms meet brand standards. Weekend and holiday availability is required; Hyatt benefits include free onsite parking and travel perks.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies, linens, amenities, and equipment to guest floors.
• Remove soiled linens, trash, and recyclables from guest floors and carts.
• Restock housekeeping carts, linen closets, and storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, service areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Clean and maintain assigned public areas, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and guest-facing spaces.
• Assist with special projects, deep cleaning assignments, mattress moves, and room setup needs.
• Deliver guest-requested items promptly and professionally.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues to the appropriate departments.
• Support housekeeping operations to ensure guestrooms are guest-ready and meet brand standards.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation and guest experience.

Position Summary

The Houseperson plays an important role in supporting the Housekeeping team and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel. This position assists Room Attendants with supplies, linen distribution, trash removal, public area upkeep, and special projects to help ensure guestrooms and public spaces meet Thompson and Hyatt brand standards.

Physical Requirements

This position is physically demanding and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift. Candidates must be able to transport linens, supplies, and equipment; push housekeeping carts and linen carts; and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
